Pop-Up Lock-Up Cinema: click here for short film
As part of the E17 Art Trail and as a way to explore ‘hidden’ spaces on the E17 estates, the drawing shed’s new lock-up studio at garage number 11, Fanshaw House, The Drive E17 3BY, was turned into a Pop-Up cinema for a day of family friendly and contemporary art films for one day, Saturday September 8th, 10.00am-9.00pm. The event – Morning Noon and Night – comprised FREE film screenings and popcorn and was proudly presented in conjunction with The Walthamstow International Film Festival.
Inspired by #bestow:* to provide quarters for; house; lodge, and as part of the drawing shed’s commitment to working in partnership with a local network of grassroots organisations, The Walthamstow International Film Festival co-lead the curation of this event, generously sharing a selection of short films as part of the E17 Art Trail – making the drawing shed’s Fanshaw-Lock-Up a festival film venue.
‘…AskFreda’ – the community organisation on The Drive and Attlee Terrace estates – made homemade popcorn as part of the Eat-Out / Eat In project, and other healthy snacks were available. Blankets and cushions and a selection of found chairs were provided!
